2020 is here! And with a new year comes new annual dues. 

We’re happy to announce that government efforts to improve RECA’s governance of real estate regulations are underway. Following industry consultations with real estate associations and boards, Service Alberta held the first round of stakeholder meetings from Nov. 22 to Dec. 10. 

We take member satisfaction seriously and actively employ your feedback to continuously improve. On Jan. 7, 2020 when you receive your member satisfaction survey, we ask you to share so that we can listen and act.

Back in September, we launched the new CREB^®Link. A redesigned website featuring a brand-new look, updated information and a fully responsive layout for all platforms. Now, we want your feedback. 

The deadline for Alberta REALTORS^® to complete their AREA mandatory training is Jan. 31, 2020.

In September AREA conducted a member survey soliciting thoughts from REALTORS^® in Alberta about the current board structure and the value of services being offered.  In last week’s newsletter, AREA shared insights gained from the survey and defined the principal priority as streamlining services throughout Alberta.  

Nominations are open and it’s time to nominate CREB^®’s 2020 Board of Directors. 

Last week, Service Alberta Minister Nate Glubish introduced legislation that will empower him to appoint an official administrator and replace RECA’s entire board.
