We know the importance of having a reliable, accurate and user-friendly MLS® System that supports the needs of our members and the clients they serve. The desire for high-quality listing data is evident by the number of member-reported issues that Member Practice receives related to wrong information on listings. Inputting incorrect information on listings can result in violations of CREB® Rule Part I 4.03 - Information Integrity.

CREB® Member Practice had scheduled a quarterly audit for commercial listings after identifying some confusion around which commercial properties should be listed as “for sale” or “for lease.” However, as our ongoing commitment is to provide tools, resources and assistance to support our members, we find this time optimal to collect your feedback for commercial offerings instead of auditing.

With many consumers finding success using Airbnb and VRBO platforms, it’s possible to see this as more than a trend. It’s become a preference for ownership. You may have buyers seeking properties with these capabilities and sellers wanting to highlight these features.

Working with real estate forms is part of members’ regular practice, and it’s important to stay up to date on changes so you can ensure any of your standardized forms packages or client conversations remain current when adjustments are made to the AREA contracts.

Few things are more annoying than having a 400-square-foot condo show up in your client’s search for 10+ acres of land. Fortunately, as a listing agent, you can help your fellow REALTORS® by double-checking that the lot size has been left blank on your conventional condo listings.

An active status communicates to all members and their clients that your listing is ready for business.

As of Jan. 3, 2022, all new listings that are conditionally sold must be reported on the MLS® System as “Pending.” Listing agents are responsible for updating their listings within two business days to reflect the actual status of the property.
