Interactive map goes public

By CREB®

Access to housing stats just got way cooler—and certainly more functional for big screen users, with the launch of CREB®’s new interactive data gathering tool on creb.com.

While members have long had access to a robust set of data points on CREB®Link, the public facing website has been a work in progress.

As you know, we launched phase one of a re-brand back in January at the Forecast Conference & Tradeshow, not only to make the site more contemporary and dynamic, but also to create a more compelling platform to promote the REALTOR® brand.

Our working group kept moving after the initial launch and we’re just now starting to execute on phase two deliverables—one of which being a repackaged interactive map for people seeking data on the housing market.

We started with a drop down style tool, which continues to be the ideal version for mobile phones and tablets with smaller screens, but not for the bigger stuff.

For larger devices, including desktop computers, laptops and certain tablets, we wanted a more visual experience when working with the data—something that is particularly important to engage an external audience with complex information.

We feel we’ve achieved that balance, and we hope you agree. Please encourage your data hungry clients to leverage this resource as a way to learn more about the community or neighbourhood they are exploring.

And just to be clear, the amount of information in the drop down tool is the same as the interactive map, so regardless of the platform, the data will be equally rich.
