The deadline for Alberta REALTORS® to complete their AREA mandatory training is Jan. 31.
The training course is focused on FINTRAC, which is Canada’s Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre. FINTRAC’s mandate is to facilitate the detection, prevention and deterrence of money laundering and the financing of terrorist activities.
Members can complete their training online by visiting AREA Hub, navigating through the course modules and answering 30 multiple choice questions in a final assessment. Completion requires a grade of 80 per cent or higher.
If you do not finish your training by the Jan. 31 deadline, your board services will be suspended until completion.
