You shared, we listened and now we’ve taken action.
In April, several members stepped up to provide insight into how we can make improvements to our MLS® System.
After analyzing the results and weighing our options, we implemented a number of your recommendations.
Please review the exciting changes to the following areas:
Recreational units
For listings that include a recreational property or seasonal dwelling, there is now a "Recreational Yes/No” option, so members can easily set up these search criteria for their consumers.
LINC updates
To prevent disruption to staff/business operations, there is now an option to hide the listing LINC address and property number.
Live/work units
A “Live/Work Yes/No” button has been added to residential property types. This gives members the opportunity to state whether their property is a live/work space (e.g. a living area over a commercial property).
For sale/for lease
To ensure lease and sale properties do not get lost in the system, the “For Sale/For Lease” function has been disabled. Now, there is an option to list your properties under “For Sale” or “For Lease.”
Commercial type listings
Members may now input institutional (church, hospitals etc.) and sports recreation (golf course, driving range etc.) properties as a commercial property type.
Please note, an email was sent out last Wednesday to members who would be directly affected by these changes.
More information on the updates can be found here. Further questions may be directed to CREB®’s training and development coordinator Carrie Thiessen at carrie.thiessen@creb.ca.
