CREB® Charitable Foundation has committed $1 million to Habitat for Humanity over the course of three years.
Last week, Habitat for Humanity officially launched its largest Calgary development to date, the Silvercreek Legacy Build.
To celebrate the partnership with Habitat, CREB® Charitable Foundation turned our atrium and auditorium into an event venue, where the $1 million announcement was made. We were joined by sponsors, donors, community partners and volunteers, along with Habitat homeowners.
Funding for the affordable housing development came from several sources, including legacy gifts from Calgary Foundation and CREB® Charitable Foundation.
“REALTORS® are in a unique position to understand the importance of a home and being part of Habitat’s largest build to date is extremely important to us,” said Alyssa Campos, CREB® Charitable Foundation President.
This announcement will see 32 townhomes built in the northwest community of Silver Springs.
The townhomes will be sold to low-income working families over the next three years.
Watch for upcoming volunteer build days on the Silvercreek development.
