Say yes to having a choice

By CREB®

It’s true, Organized Real Estate (ORE) is complex . . . at least for now.

CREB® has started a quest to make things simpler, more efficient, more nimble and effective, so members can get even more value for their membership.

The obstacle is our current 3-way agreement, which doesn’t allow for much flexibility. In fact, the agreement that we have in place today is the same agreement that was established in 1974.

This two-page document no longer serves the needs of our members and stands in the way of modern advancement in ORE.

And CREB® isn't alone in this line of thinking.

The other major Canadian boards agree, including Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Vancouver. All five boards have shared commentary with CREA about the current 3-way agreement and how best to move forward.

There are many suggestions and ideas, but the consensus is that we need a more nimble membership structure with more choice and, ultimately, more value for every dollar.

If you agree, please visit CREB®'s discussion page on the 3-way agreement

Read the discussion papers and background info, watch the video with CREB® CEO Alan Tennant and click the I SAY YES button to join the movement.

P.S. This topic will be our main focus at CREB®’s next town hall meeting on Feb. 8. If you haven’t already registered, please do so now. Make sure your voice is heard on this issue. This is the time to speak up!
