Give the gift of warmth this holiday season with the eighth annual jacket drive for the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre (DI Centre).
The CREB® Charitable Foundation is excited to join forces with one of our own member’s grassroots initiatives called Coats for Calgary.
From now until Dec. 1, bring in your coats to the donation boxes located in CREB®’s atrium to help Calgary’s less fortunate. All coats collected will be picked up and delivered on the same day in one large donation to DI Centre in December.
The DI Centre hands out thousands of warm coats each year. Last year, Coats for Calgary surpassed their goal of 3000 coats and collected over 5000 coats. Because of last year’s success, this year’s goal is 5000 coats – so dig through your closets and bring in any extra coats to help support this great cause!
Donation FAQ:
- All sizes and types of coats from infant to adult will be accepted;
- Jackets missing a zipper/button or with a small tear will be accepted. The DI Centre has a team ready and willing to repair coats before handing them out to their clients;
- For coats in very poor or unrepairable condition, the DI Centre will still collect and recycle them;
- The DI Centre will gladly accept any other warm items you wish to donate as well such as mittens, hats, scarves and blankets.
