Thank you to everyone who joined us at the 2nd annual Diamond Gala this past weekend. And, congratulations to all of those who received awards!

The big winners of the evening were Jeff Mikolajaw, who took home the CREB^® Volunteer of the Year – Marilyn Jones Memorial Award, along with Karl Stader and David P. Brown, who both received Honourary Life Awards.

There were many CREB^® members receiving long-service and board builder awards, all of whom are listed on CREB^®Link.

A new award was launched this year, called the Commitment to CREB^® Award. This award is presented to an individual or business who has gone above and beyond for CREB^®. The recipient doesn’t have to be a REALTOR^® and the award won’t necessarily be given out every year.

This year’s winner was local lawyer Jeff Kahane, who has been instrumental in his work with CREB^®’s Charitable Foundation and with the recently updated bylaws.

To much surprise the T.W.H. Bill Saunders REALTOR^® of the Year Award was not awarded this year.

The T.W.H. REALTOR^® of the Year committee felt that there were some excellent candidates put forth, but that none of them were ready to receive the award quite yet. It’s rare this happens, and in the past, there was only one other instance where the award was not given out, so we encourage everyone to keep nominating next year.
