CREB® would like to expand on the results of the survey, particularly on what we heard you, our members, say. Here’s what we’ve learned:
- CREB® members are engaged and invested in the dialogue about the future of organized real estate in Alberta, with 22% of CREB®’s membership responding to AREA’s survey and representing 50% of the total survey respondents.
- The MLS® system, technology tools and member support are the most valuable local services provided to members.
- CREB® members value:
- Their local board and its voice;
- The REALTOR® brand name and its consistent use throughout the province;
- The services and support provided to them by CREB®, and;
- Effective cost management in the delivery of services and support whether it be locally or provincially.
- There was strong overall support illustrated for provincial consistency in the delivery of the MLS® system, technology tools, rules enforcement and compliance, and member support.
- More than half of those surveyed displayed support for exploring structural change across the province resulting in fewer boards and associations.
The results of the survey are encouraging and will help CREB®’s Board of Directors shape the future for our membership in the following ways:
- Reinforce the work in progress to deliver One MLS® System.
- Strengthen the dialogue currently in progress on provincial rules and administrative justice harmonization.
- Encourage the next step in dialogue on restructuring, redefining and streamlining organized real estate with the ultimate goal of our members having One Alberta Membership.
As we further analyze the results of the survey, we’ll keep you updated on additional findings. We look forward to using the results to enhance your membership experience.
