The Critical Illness Benefit Society’s (CIBS) board of directors invites you to the AGM livestream on Thursday, April 23, where a motion will be put forward to enhance the CIBS benefit.
The approval of the proposed bylaw coming forward at the 2020 AGM would add five critical illness categories to the definitions, expanding the scope of the program to support members in critical need.
The benefit currently includes support for the following critical illnesses:
- Life threatening cancer
- Coronary artery by-pass surgery
- Heart attack
- Kidney failure
- Multiple sclerosis
- Parkinson's Disease
- Stroke
With the approval of this motion, the CIBS benefit would also cover the following critical illnesses:
- Major organ Failure
- Bacterial meningitis
- Benign brain tumor
- Heart valve replacement
- Motor neuron disease
