#MAKEITAWKWARD: The road to inclusivity

The Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association has invited Actor, business owner and activist Jesse Lipscombe to share his experiences and empower you to turn yourself and your team into ambassadors of change. He recently launched the #MakeItAwkward campaign to combat racism, misogyny, homophobia and hatred. He works with organizations and leaders to help them understand and address racism.

What you’ll learn:

  • How small micro-aggressions have created a dangerous and unsafe landscape for many marginalized individuals;
  • How important the little things are when combatting racism; and
  • Leave empowered to know that YOU are the change-maker we have all been waiting for.

Date: Wednesday, July 22 at 11 a.m.

Brand building with Community Investment

The power of community investment is still largely untapped.

Consumers care about businesses that care. They want to align themselves with brands that mimic their value set, and so we’ve designed this learning session to show how community investment can enhance your competitive edge and differentiate your brand along the way.

Key takeaways:

  • Key messages on CREB®’s REALTOR® Community Foundation;
  • Explanation about how to use the digital donor package (exclusive to Friends of the Foundation); and
  • Posts for social media and a presentation slide deck to share with clients.

Date: Monday, July 27 at 10 a.m.
