Pillar 9™ Tech Tips

By CREB®
In the lead up to CREB®’s migration to Pillar 9™, we’re providing tech tips for our members so that everyone is ready to transition to the new MLS® System.

The new Pillar 9™ platform is not vastly different from the one we use now, but change is change, and we want our members to feel ready for this new streamlined real estate experience.

Check out the tech tips below to learn more about the Pillar 9™ Matrix™ system.

Tech Tip 8: Property types and sub-types

The language of real estate can be complicated, but less so when you’re familiar with the basic property definitions. In this tech tip, our focus is property types and sub-types.

Tech Tip 9: Searching for leased properties

Getting hands on with the new input tool is the best way to learn, but sometimes it’s nice have someone point you in the right direction. We're talking about searching for leased properties in this tech tip.

With Pillar 9™, leased is no longer a property status and can only be found as a transaction type.

So, members who are searching for leased properties, for example the number of leased properties in the last 180 days, would complete the following search:

  1. Navigate to Matrix™ --> Search --> Commercial
  2. Select “Sold” from the Status list with the desired date range
  3. Select “Leased”
  4. Add any additional search criteria as desired

Tech Tip 10: How to create a CMA

If real estate is local, it doesn’t get any more local than a close-up inspection of comparable property features and price point in the local market area. Learn how to create a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) in this tech tip.
