Board meeting highlights
- Memorandum of Understanding signed so that CREB®’s administrative justice program is now operating in parallel to AREA’s provincial program. AREA still maintains its commitment to work with the boards to identify a common set of Summary Offense penalties for the MLS® System rules.
- The Dec. 31, 2020 Audited Financial Statements for CREB® – as reviewed and recommended by the Audit, Finance & Risk Committee – were approved by the board for presentation at the April 22, 2021 CREB® AGM.
- After learning through a press release of Zillow’s purchase of ShowingTime™, work with Pillar 9™ to identify an appropriate replacement product is underway. Pillar 9™ is co-ordinating a task force comprised of one staff representative and one member from each impacted board that is focused on refining the list of possible replacements, facilitating a member demonstration, ranking possible replacements, and recommending the way forward.
- Work is being done to finalize a scalable COVID-19 re-entry approach that enables swift response and honours time requirements needed to open our doors and resume appropriately scaled in-person services safely.

About CREB® BOD meeting reports
In February 2020, the board of directors began discussions on how to best communicate topics being covered at the board table.
After a detailed review, the Governance Standing Committee made a recommendation to amend the CREB® Governance Manual Policy 2.1.6 Board Meeting Policy to require the posting of a board meeting report. Now, following each board meeting, a meeting report will be shared with members that summarizes what was discussed.
