This week’s bulletin includes information on accessing the CREB® building, consequences of non-compliance of open house and showing regulations, and the latest vaccine update.
CREB® building access
As the Government of Alberta plans Step 3 of its path forward, CREB® is monitoring updates and carefully planning our re-entry strategy to align with the province’s easing of restrictions.
In the meantime, a limited number of staff are working from the office building and access to the Member Services Centre continues by appointment only.
When visiting CREB® during an appointment, we ask that you please follow these public health guidelines:
- All members and employees are asked to complete a self-screening questionnaire before entering the building.
- Access to CREB® is not permitted if you are exhibiting symptoms of illness.
- Masks are mandatory and must be worn at all times.
To learn more or book an appointment, please call 403-781-5454.
Consequences of open house and showing regulations infringements
Please ensure you adhere to the rules around showings and the temporary ban on open houses. As a reminder, showings should be offered by appointment only with a maximum of two adult family-unit members at a time plus any children who may accompany the adults for the showing.
When showing homes, any seller’s instructions further limiting showings must be followed. Sellers cannot waive the open house restrictions.
Members who do not comply with these regulations may face disciplinary action as a result of formal complaints.
Furthermore, if Alberta REALTORS® or their clients are not following government-mandated safety regulations, they could face fines from bylaw or municipal services.
Failure to follow AREA, Government of Alberta, and municipal guidance and orders may result in further restrictions to our industry’s activities and practices.
