March 23 update

By CREB®

Alberta remains status quo in Step 2 of its path forward, but CREB®’s re-entry planning continues.

Government of Alberta announcement

Yesterday (March 22), the Alberta Government stated our province will remain in Step 2 of its path forward at this time.

This decision was based on rising hospitalization rates, even though they currently sit under 300.

With this news, CREB®’s business operations will remain status quo for the time being. We know it has been a long road and appreciate our members patience and understanding during this time.

CREB®’s path forward

CREB® is actively planning our re-entry strategy in alignment with the Government of Alberta’s path forward.

We have been hard at work to ensure safety is not compromised and we are adhering to public health guidance when the CREB® building re-opens. We are taking a balanced and scalable approach that reinforces our ability to promote health and safety without compromising service levels.

As we look forward to re-opening our doors, please remember to remain vigilant so we can all stay safe and see each other soon.

Keep an eye on CREB®Talk for more details on our renewed re-entry plan over the coming weeks.

A reminder from AREA

Earlier today, AREA released a reminder stating professional services, such as real estate, must continue to be offered on an appointment only basis while indoor social gatherings are still prohibited. Please remember:

  • These appointments are limited to two family-unit members at a time. If a child must join out of necessity, they may attend in addition to the two family-unit members and precautions must be taken for social distancing, masks, and sanitizing.
  • Masks are mandatory for all showings. Anyone with a medical mask exemption must receive advance clearance from sellers, who can decide whether they will still permit the appointment.
  • When showing homes, any sellers’ instructions further limiting showings must be followed. Sellers cannot waive the open house restrictions.
