The National Association of REALTORS® developed the CIPS designation to support a growing interest in the global real estate market and provide the necessary education, resources and networking opportunities for REALTORS®. The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) is pleased to offer the designation courses here in Canada.
Join your fellow Canadian REALTORS® and learn about the critical aspects of international real estate transactions, including:
- Globalization of economies
- International capital flow
- Marketing and business planning strategies
- Roles and expectations in international transactions
There are five course requirements to receive this designation, including the following three courses that are available virtually next month:
- Global Real Estate: Local Markets
Dates: April 6 & 7
Time: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. MT
This introductory course offers an overview of the international real estate business environment, including capital flow, currencies, government regulations and cultures. Topics such as international brokerage, networking, marketing and selling will also be discussed. - Business of U.S. Real Estate
Dates: April 14 & 15
Time: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. MT
The course will describe the role of real estate in the U.S. economy and society, as well as knowledge of the U.S. real estate marketplace. Information on the requirements, regulations and laws associated with working as a real estate professional in the U.S. and skills for facilitating real estate transactions in the U.S. market will be provided in course materials. - Americas and Global Real Estate
Dates: April 19 & 20
Time: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. MT
This course offers practical information on working with investors from the Americas and Caribbean. Historical and cultural influences, regional relationships, and investment opportunities are covered, including a special focus on Mexico.
