City of Calgary: Mitigating Environmental Risks to Buildings

In response to Calgary’s disastrous hail and rainstorm on June 13, 2020, and city council’s subsequent “Disaster Relief and Mitigation Notice of Motion,” Calgary Building Services and its partners are working to better understand the unique environmental risks posed to buildings in our city.

This includes developing strategies for citizens, industry and government to make homes and buildings more resilient to environmental risks. As we prepare for storm season in 2021, The City would like to share those strategies to help homeowners mitigate the risk of hail damage to their property.
