To coincide with REALTOR® Safety Month, AREA is offering a free safety webinar to members on Thursday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This session will be hosted by Rob and Beth Andress, violence prevention and de-escalation specialists at SAFE International. It was developed to equip REALTORS® with self-protection skills and strategies to avoid dangerous situations.

We understand being a REALTOR® requires a heavy online presence to conduct business, and these situations are an unfortunate reminder to stay vigilant when receiving communication requests where the sender or caller is unknown.
If you receive calls or text messages that are inappropriate, block them immediately. If you need assistance, contact your service provider for the steps to take to effectively block phone numbers.
If meeting clients in person, verify their identity, meet in a public place and bring a friend when possible.
