The holiday season is right around the corner and home sellers may not be able to have their property ready for showing within 24 hours.
Understand your sellers holiday plans
Your sellers may not be easily accessible to confirm showings over the holidays due to vacations or holiday celebrations. It is important to understand their plans to best serve their needs and align with the rules.
If your sellers won’t be able to make the property available for showings, avoiding an unintentional rule violation can be managed.
Temporarily withdraw a listing
If your client is not able to have their property available for a showing within 24 hours of a request, make sure to temporarily withdraw the listing.
Properties can be temporarily withdrawn for up to 10 calendar days, provided the seller has signed the Temporary Withdrawal Form.
Reactivate when ready
Once the property can be shown within the 24-hour request period, the listing can be reactivated by:
- Your broker, who is able to temporarily withdraw and reactivate listings; or
- CREB® Member Support. Simply send the Temporary Withdrawal Form to support@creb.ca for help withdrawing and reactivating a listing.
If you have questions please contact CREB® Member Practice at crebmp@creb.ca.
