This summer, over 40 REALTORS® came together across five days to volunteer with some of our Legacy Grant recipients.

Through our powerful member community, the CREB^® REALTOR Community Foundation is able to support local housing initiatives and organizations in our community. Here is a snapshot of some of our completed volunteer opportunities.  

Ronald McDonald House Calgary

Across two days, teams of REALTORS^® took place in the Helping Hands program, where volunteers offered a hand with odd jobs around the House. The volunteers worked to move items in and out of the parking garage.

In June, CREB^® REALTOR^® Community Foundation awarded Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta (RMHC) a $1 million Legacy Grant for its Calgary House expansion.

Habitat for Humanity

REALTORS^® were onsite to tile, hammer and landscape at the Silver Creek build site location over three days this summer.

The volunteers helped to show the passion REALTORS^® have for contributing to strong communities and ensuring that everyone has a safe and stable home.

In 2018, $1 million was awarded to Habitat for Humanity’s Silver Creek build project as part of the Legacy Grant recipient. The project, located in Northwest Calgary, features 32 new affordable housing units for working families.
