Giving Tuesday began in 2012 as a day to encourage people to do good. Nowadays, it’s a global movement with more than 80 participating countries.

From donating to volunteering and making someone smile to helping a neighbour, there are many ways to express generosity.

This Giving Tuesday, we encourage you to give back to your community by becoming a Friend of the Foundation. As a friend, you and your fellow REALTORS® invest in housing and shelter initiatives. For only $20 a month, you can help give someone in need a place to call home. Every dollar you donate goes directly to our cause.

Another wonderful way to commemorate this day is by considering volunteering with CREB®’s committees and in the community.

There are currently two opportunities for you to get involved with charities in your community. RMHC still needs 15 volunteers for Jan. 10, and Inn from the Cold needs four volunteers on Jan. 11 and Jan. 18.

Even the smallest actions can make a huge difference.
