Big picture, RMHC Alberta supports approximately 1,100 families each year, providing a home-away-from home for families who need to travel for vital medical treatments. In 2022, RMHC Alberta served 1,213 families from communities across the province and even some outside Alberta.
The Calgary expansion project is now well underway. The planning phase is complete and on June 14, 2023, RMHC celebrated a project milestone when they broke ground for construction. This expansion of the Calgary house will triple the capacity from 27 suites to 91 family suites.
On top of the grant funding to support the expansion project, CREB® REALTORS® have donated their time to further support RMHC. Whether it is helping move items in and out of the house, decorate the house for the holidays, or provide home-cooked meals for the families in residence, RMHC is grateful for your generosity and support.
The Legacy Grant is the Foundation’s signature funding stream designed to create new housing options.
