With a Governance Professionals of Canada designation (GPC.d) and experience as a corporate secretary to the advisory board of an evolving company, Mariangela Ávila became a REALTOR® in 2021, well prepared to make a positive impact in the industry.

Volunteer with Inn from the Cold at their second annual Kiitaamoko Passkaan (Everybody Dance) Powwow on Saturday, June 15, in the Harley Hotchkiss Gardens. 

Getting out of bed in the morning is a little easier when the smell of fresh pancakes fills the air! CREB® REALTORS® had the pleasure of volunteering with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and preparing breakfast for the families staying at the Calgary House.

CREB® REALTORS® came together to support Discovery House, a CREB® REALTOR® Community Grant recipient.

Inn from the Cold is a recipient of the 2023 Community Grant, and through this partnership they asked if eight REALTORS® (four each day) would support them with dinner service.
National Housing Day is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of safe, affordable, and adequate housing for all Canadians. 

Valerie Konechny’s volunteering journey began in the fall of 2011. She had been a licensed REALTOR® for five years, and at an annual general meeting, someone asked her if she was a volunteer.

After a 26-year career in the banking industry and moving across the country, Dick Brown decided to settle down in Calgary and become a REALTOR®.  That was in 1981 when the real estate market in the city had a downward trend that lasted five years, so even though it wasn’t easy at the start, Brown didn’t give up.
