Opting into ShowingTime text messages

ShowingTime has introduced a text message opt-in process to address delivery issues that some users have been experiencing due to their mobile carriers. If you want to stay up-to-date on listing appointments and activity through texts, you will have to follow the opt-in process below.

  • When a new mobile number is added to the system or after a number has been inactive for 60 days, ShowingTime sends an opt-in message that states:

    • "You've been added to ShowingTime to receive texts for real estate appointments and messages related to our services. To give ShowingTime permission to send you these messages at this number, reply START to confirm or STOP to not receive text messages."
  • Messages will be paused until confirmation is received. The prompt will be resent to ensure receipt.
  • Once confirmation is received, messages that weren’t sent while waiting for opt-in will be delivered.
  • If there is no response or you reply with STOP, your number will be marked as “do not send” and you won’t receive further text notifications.

If you do not want to opt into the text messages, you can also stay informed through the ShowingTime app.
