Volunteer with L’Arche Calgary for their 15th annual Acera Insurance Run for L'Arche on Saturday, Apr. 5, 2025. 

This is a fundraising event that helps L’Arche Calgary’s five homes build a community and care for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Volunteer opportunities

Course Marshals

• 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Duties:
  • Direct runners along the route and cheer them on.
  • Optional: Course Marshals can sign up as pairs if they’d like to volunteer with a buddy.

Greeters and venue support

• 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Duties:
  • Assist with venue setup, take-down, handing out medals, and answering participants’ questions.
  • Greet and cheer participants at the start and finish lines.
  • Hand medals to runners as they complete their races. 

1K Fun Run activity stations

• 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.
• Duties:
  • Help set up and run family-friendly games and activities for one-kilometre Fun Run participants, including children and individuals with disabilities.
  • Engage with participants to create a fun and inclusive atmosphere.
