Nomination period opens March 5
Members can submit their nominations starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5. The nomination window closes at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12.
The 2025 director by-election CREB®Link page will provide up-to-date information throughout the by-election period. Your nominations are important to help build a strong board of member leaders who want to make a real impact and have a vision for the future of CREB®.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Exceptional critical thinking skills;
- Experience in planning and policy-making;
- A desire to make a positive difference; and
- Sound judgment and integrity.
To run in the election, candidates must:
- Be a CREB® member in good standing;
- Complete Leadership 100, 200 & 300;
- Not have been subject to RECA or CREB® penalty in the last 24 months;
- Self-nominate or be nominated by a member; and
- Be elected by CREB® members.
Key by-election dates
- March 5: Nominations open at 9 a.m.
- March 12: Nominations close at 4 p.m.
- March 19: Candidate profiles go live on the CREB®Link page at 9 a.m.
- March 21: Meet-the-candidate event at CREB® Campus (details to come).
- March 26-27: Electronic voting period (voting will commence at 3 p.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. the following day).
Grow your leadership skills
To be eligible for election to the Board, candidates must complete CREA Leadership Courses 100, 200, and 300 (as outlined in CREB® Bylaws Article 6.6 – Qualifications).
For those looking to meet eligibility requirements, Leadership 200 and 300 will be offered in-person at the CREB® Campus this week on Thursday, March 6:
- Leadership 200: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Leadership 300: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Each course costs $150 (plus GST). Leadership 100 is a free, one-hour online course available anytime through the CREA Learning Hub.
