CREB®’s Government Relations Team (GRT) is advocating for CREB® members at all levels of government. Here’s a closer look at what’s in play and what’s coming up.
Municipal advocacy
Every quarter, the GRT fosters meaningful connections with civic leaders by sharing ward-specific statistics publications with City Councillors and the Mayor. These packages help to keep real estate at the forefront of conversations and reinforce the messaging that:
- Calgary and area REALTORS® interact with housing consumers daily and are a trusted voice for information on the local housing market; and
- Housing and home ownership is a core priority that must be on the agenda at City Council.

Provincial & Federal advocacy
CREA’s PAC days are coming up in mid-October and AREA’s Government Liaison Days will be held in late November. Members of the GRT will attend both events to represent CREB® and our members’ interests at both the provincial and national level.
