Recently, a series of lawsuits involving the NAR and major franchises and brokerages have been making headlines in the US. 

We are monitoring these situations very closely for potential impacts on our members. There are a many unique aspects to the US legal framework that may not be present for us in Canada. 

As well, we are hearing from knowledgeable leaders that the Alberta regulatory framework has characteristics that could protect us from significant impacts. 

We are also monitoring events surround legal proceedings involving the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board and again whether precedents landed in Ontario would have application here in Alberta.
